Your responsibilities
At Placetel, we are seeking a passionate and ambitious Account Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to make a significant impact. As our Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in meeting Placetel’s revenue targets by focusing on managing and nurturing our strategic customer base in the German market. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services within your assigned accounts, as well as proactively managing contract renewals to ensure high renewal rates. Additionally, you cultivate and develop inbound leads to transform them into new customers.
- Manage and nurture existing Strategic Accounts: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with our existing customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maximize Account Penetration: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services within your assigned customer base.
- Renewal Management: Proactively manage contract renewals, ensuring high renewal rates and identifying opportunities for contract expansion.
- Generate new logo’s by transforming inbound leads
- Master qualification and value-based selling using Command of the Message strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM data: accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Create engaging sales presentations and demos, made possible by focusing on good time management and control of the non-selling responsibilities.
- Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on the product roadmap, industry changes, and competitive landscape.
- Provide feedback on market opportunities and trends, playing an impactful role in designing Placetel’s long-term SMB strategy in the DACH region.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, ensuring timely and eEective resolution of any issues or inquiries.
- Monitor Account Health: Track and analyze key account metrics to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and to address any product- related issues.
- Deliver Product Updates and Training: Keep customers informed about new features, updates, and best practices to help them get the most out of our platform.
- Gather Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to the Product and Development teams to help shape the future of our offerings.
- Attend Industry Events: Represent Placetel at industry events and conferences to strengthen customer relationships and stay informed about industry trends.
Qualifikation

- Experience in Account Management: You have at least 2-3 years of experience in managing existing accounts, preferably in a B2B environment. Experience in SaaS/Software sales and Telco is a big plus.
- Customer-Centric: You have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and are dedicated to building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
- Proactive and Strategic: You are skilled at identifying opportunities for upselling and cross- selling within your existing customer base and can proactively manage contract renewals to ensure high renewal rates.
- Excellent Communicator: You speak German and English fluently. You can present complex information in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for clients to understand and relay to others.
- Curious and Insightful: You love discovery and are curious about the people you work with. You ask targeted questions that result in meaningful insights regarding the customer’s pain points and propose impactful solutions.
- Adaptable and Coachable: You have the ability to adapt and improve as required to achieve your potential. You are open to feedback and eager to learn from your team and resources provided.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: You are adept at managing multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all customer interactions are well-documented and follow- ups are timely.
