We are looking for you! We offer a full-time position (40h/week) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig or Munich. The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office. Software Engineer – DevOps Focus (m/f/d)
Your Mission
- Help us maintaining and further developing our technology stack, nowadays mostly written in .NET, with clean and well-documented code.
- Care about the deployment lifecycle of the application with automation to build, test and deploy with Jenkins
- Lead the effort and develop best practices to modernize and containerize applications and be comfortable with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Ensure the health and performance of the applications are in place with our Elasticsearch observability stack
- Elevate the team by providing technical guidance and support for DevOps practices
- Stay up-to-date with the Internal Engineering community of Verivox by taking part of our cross-functional groups
- Contribute to code quality and implement engineering best practices;
- Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation;
- Participate actively in team-building activities and support conflict moderation and resolution;
- Engage in people development activities, including professional growth, training, and performance reviews.
Your essential experience and education
- A university degree in a relevant field of study (computer science, engineering, sciences or a comparable qualification).
- Several years of experience in automating deployments, testing, and monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, and Jenkins.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Proven leadership potential, demonstrated through proactive problem-solving, effective collaboration, and a commitment to team success.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with German as a plus.
