Jan is VP of Engineering at SumUp, leading tech organizations of up to 100 people. At SumUp, he built up one department and facilitated the technical, cultural, and product-wise merger of two others. Previously, as Director of Engineering at Zalando, he introduced flexible teams to enhance customer value. At idealo, he was Head of Engineering for two product areas and played a key role in reorganizing a 250-person product development team. Earlier in his career, he led a team at Campana & Schott, introducing Project-, Program-, and Portfolio-Management solutions to clients. Jan began his career at Capgemini, developing custom software solutions as a Managing Consultant.
